Woo Yeon Chun

이 작업은 인터랙티브 사운드 퍼포먼스 Ein Flattern_zufallsname에서 출발한 영상 설치이다. 퍼포먼스에서 사용되었던 움직임과 사운드, 공간의 관계는 기록된 영상으로 전환되며, 다시 세 개의 모니터를 통해 공간 안에 재구성된다.

작가는 독일에서의 작업 이후 한국으로 돌아와, 대부도의 바람과 풍경을 이 작업에 겹쳐 놓는다. 화면 속 움직임과 사운드는 특정한 서사를 전달하기보다, 바람의 흐름과 리듬처럼 반복되고 흩어지며 공간을 채운다. 세 개의 화면은 서로 독립적으로 작동하면서도 동시에 연결되어, 단일한 시점이 아닌 분산된 경험을 만들어낸다.

퍼포먼스에서 중심이 되었던 신체와 소리는 여기서 다른 방식으로 지속된다. 움직임은 영상 속에서 반복되고, 사운드는 공간 전체로 확장되며 관객을 둘러싼다. 이는 하나의 장면을 재현하기보다, 감각의 일부를 다시 호출하고 재배치하는 방식에 가깝다.

This work is a video installation derived from the interactive sound performance Ein Flattern_zufallsname. The relationships between movement, sound, and space—central to the performance—are translated into recorded footage and reconfigured through three monitors within the exhibition space.

After returning from Germany to Korea, the artist incorporates the wind and landscape of Daebudo into the work. Rather than conveying a fixed narrative, movement and sound unfold like the flow of wind—repeating, dispersing, and filling the space. The three screens operate both independently and in relation to one another, creating a dispersed mode of viewing rather than a single perspective.

The body and sound, which were central in the performance, persist here in altered form. Movement is replayed and fragmented through video, while sound expands into the surrounding space. The work does not attempt to reproduce the original performance, but instead reactivates its sensory elements in a different context.
