이 작업은 선, 구조, 그리고 소리 사이의 관계를 공간 속에서 탐구한다. 작가는 드로잉을 평면에 고정하지 않고, 벽에서 바닥으로 이어지는 흐름으로 확장시킨다. 길게 이어진 종이는 중력과 공간의 조건에 따라 접히고 굴절되며 하나의 선적 구조를 형성한다.

드로잉은 악보를 연상시키는 선들 위에 다양한 형태와 흔적들이 겹쳐지며 구성된다. 서로 교차하고 어긋나는 요소들은 고정된 이미지를 만들기보다, 리듬과 긴장을 만들어낸다.

이 작업에서 드로잉은 실제 연주를 위한 악보로 전환된다. 드로잉 노트는 연주를 통해 사운드로 번역되고, 그 소리가 다시 공간 안에 펼쳐진다. 이 과정에서 선은 이미지이자 기호이며, 동시에 시간 속에서 전개되는 구조로 작동한다.

공간에 설치된 사운드는 시각적 구조를 확장하며, 이미지와 소리는 서로 어긋나거나 겹치면서 단일한 해석으로 환원되지 않는 감각적 경험을 형성한다.

이 작업은 완결된 형태보다, 요소들이 만나고 변화하는 과정에 주목한다. 선은 경계를 나누기보다 연결하고 이탈하며, 공간 안에서 끊임없이 새로운 관계를 만들어낸다.

 

This work explores the relationship between line, structure, and sound within space. The artist extends drawing beyond a fixed surface, unfolding it from the wall onto the floor as a continuous flow. The long sheet bends and folds under the conditions of gravity, forming a linear structure in motion.

The drawing is composed of layered marks placed over staff-like lines. Intersecting and misaligned elements generate rhythm and tension rather than a fixed image.

In this work, the drawing is translated into a musical score for performance. The drawn notation is interpreted through sound, which unfolds within the space. The line thus operates as image, notation, and a temporal structure.

Sound installed in the space expands the visual composition. Image and sound overlap and diverge, producing a layered experience that resists a singular interpretation.

Rather than presenting a resolved form, the work focuses on an ongoing process in which elements meet, shift, and transform. The line does not simply divide; it connects, deviates, and continuously generates new relations.
